Goli Otok is a place that stays with you long after you leave. As I sailed into its waters, I felt a mix of intrigue and nostalgia. The island’s rugged beauty is striking, with its rocky shores and clear waters. This place carries a weighty history… The remnants of its past, including the old prison buildings, add a layer of depth to the experience. Despite the lack of commercial development, the beauty of Goli Otok lies in its authenticity. Anchoring here was straightforward but it’s for small craft only in high season, leave space for the ferries.
