Agathonisi is one of those peaceful spots that I’ve really grown to love. It’s small, so space is limited, only about 3 boats can dock at the quay, and another 3 can anchor in the bay. If you manage to get a spot, it’s a tranquil setting with clear waters, perfect for swimming. Just be aware of the ferry that comes in regularly; you might need to move if you’re in its way. We tied up near the rocks and found good holding, though I’ve heard some people had trouble anchoring. The village is small but charming, with a few tavernas and a mini-market that’s enough to get by. George’s Taverna seems to be a local staple, though I didn’t love the food there. Overall, it’s a lovely, quiet place to relax for a night or two—just make sure you get there early to secure a spot!
