This anchorage just east of the harbor entrance is a gem. You can anchor at 10-15m with great holding. Perfect weather made our overnight stay lovely, just an hour from the canal entrance.
What a night! We arrived to calm, glassy water and dropped anchor at 6m near. Holding was great in the sandy bottom. However it felt like we were in a washing machine until things finally calmed down early morning. We think it might have been the cargos passing by as there was no wind.
