Small Akrotiri is on Kefalonia, close to coves and coastal drives that link beaches and village viewpoints. Restaurants are easiest in the nearby harbour towns. Read more
Take a trip to Assos for a walk up to the Venetian fortress viewpoint, then head to Myrtos for a beach stop. Melissani Cave and Sami are also within reach for a half-day out before returning to the coast.
