Baia di Santa Panagia is a wide bight with low headlands and the old tonnara as a clear marker. Anchoring is restricted in parts due to seagrass, and the bottom can be mixed, so placement matters. Dinghy landings work on the small beach or slip inside the bay. Read more
Ortigia is close for the cathedral square, market lanes, and a restaurant along the waterfront. The Greek theatre and the Latomie caves in the Neapolis park are the main historic stop.

1 Review on “Baia di Santa Panagia”
It’s an industrial area near refineries and factories, it offers solid protection from the usual wind and swell directions. The seabed here is sandyand provides good holding. The surroundings can be quite surprising with a mix of private beaches and industrial sights, which might not appeal to everyone. The environment does get noisy, particularly with the nearby factories and their operations. However, if you need a reliable and protected spot, especially in northerly winds, this anchorage serves as a practical choice.
