Cala dell’Uzzo is a sandy pocket on the Zingaro shoreline, close to the reserve’s northern access. Sand and rock share the bottom, so it pays to choose a clean patch. Read more
From the beach, paths lead to Grotta dell’Uzzo and the museum displays near the entrance. The walk between coves is short, with viewpoints over Scopello and the coast.

1 Review on “Cala dell'Uzzo”
I found the turquoise waters and the white pebble beach absolutely stunning, but getting a good hold can be tricky. The sandy spots are there, but they’re mixed with rocks and sea grass, so you’ll need to carefully pick your spot, especially since space is limited.
I had a smoother experience anchoring behind the buoy line during the evening, which also gave me the chance to enjoy the beach after the day-trippers had left. The bay holds up well against northwest swells, though a northeast breeze might make things a bit bumpy. The beach is easy to reach by dinghy, and if you have time, the walk to the grotto is worth it.
