Southeast of Porto Cervo on Sardinia’s Costa Smeralda, Golfo Pevero offers a spacious bay with clear waters and a sandy seabed, providing good holding. The anchorage is well-protected from south-easterly and south-westerly winds but is open to the northeast.

The bay features several small coves surrounded by rocks, where vessels can anchor in depths ranging from 11 to 14 meters. At the southern end of the gulf lies a white sand beach, approximately 6 kilometers long, known as Grande Pevero, with the smaller Piccolo Pevero nearby.

Exercise caution due to the numerous shoals in the area. In westerly winds, better shelter can be found near the coast, about halfway along the northwest shore of the gulf, in the shallow bay of Porto Paglia, which has a beach at its head.

Given its proximity to Porto Cervo, a renowned luxury destination, the area can become quite busy during peak seasons, and sailors should be mindful of local anchoring regulations.
