1 Reviews on “Porto Palma”
Located on the southern coast of Caprera Island in Sardinia, the bay is well-protected from most wind directions, except from the south.
The Caprera Sailing Center operates from a jetty at the head of the bay, and during the summer months, the area can be lively with sailing activities. Anchoring on the eastern side of the bay in depths of 5 to 9 meters can help avoid the busiest areas and provide a more peaceful stay.
There are seven mooring buoys available, and anchoring is permitted in designated areas. The seabed consists of sand and mud, ensuring good holding. It’s advisable to contact the local authorities for the latest information on mooring availability and regulations.
Access to the shore is possible by dinghy, with a dock available for landing. However, amenities such as water and snacks are not readily available at the anchorage, so it’s best to come prepared.
