Anse Cafard offers a tranquil anchorage with dramatic surroundings. Sheltered by the imposing Morne Larcher. I anchored here after a quiet sail along the coast, and the first thing that struck me was how peaceful the area felt. The holding in the sand was solid, and though the bay is more exposed to the south, it felt secure during the calm weather I encountered. Anse Cafard’s proximity to Le Diamant means a quick shore visit is possible to the Mémorial de l’Anse Cafard nearby.
