Badia d’Alcúdia is a wide, open bay with a muddy bottom and areas of seagrass, so anchoring can take a couple of tries until you find a patch that grips. Keep some distance from the busiest nearshore strips and avoid the darkest weed. Read more
The long beach makes dinghy landings easy almost anywhere, and the old town of Alcúdia is the main visit, with intact walls and narrow streets. Roman Pollentia ruins are close by, and the headland walks towards Formentor give views over the bay.

1 Review on “Badia d'Alcúdia”
An expansive and well-protected anchorage ideal for those seeking calm waters and a secure spot to drop anchor. The bay is fairly shallow, with depths ranging between 2 to 6 meters, and has a sandy and mud bottom that provides good holding. The anchorage offers access to the nearby town of Alcúdia, which is a short distance away by dinghy. The area has various amenities, including shops, restaurants, and facilities for provisioning, making it convenient for boaters staying for longer periods. The bay itself is large and can accommodate many boats, but it can get crowded during the high season. The clear, shallow waters are great for swimming and other water activities, but be mindful of the occasional boat traffic, especially near the marinas. While there aren’t many specific attractions at the anchorage itself, it serves as a good base for exploring the north of Mallorca.
