Badia de Fornells is a long bay on Menorca, with room to anchor or pick up a mooring buoy, and a dinghy dock for going ashore. The bottom is a mix of sand, mud, and seagrass, and holding is usually fine when you find a clear patch. Read more
Fornells is known for lobster caldereta, with restaurant options along the waterfront. Walk up to the remains of Sant Antoni Castle and the Fornells Tower for views over the bay, then head back for a swim.

Definitly the safest spots on Menorca’s north coast. The bay’s well protected from all wind angles, with cliffs on both sides, and the holding in sand is solid if you keep clear of the Posidonia. There are also plenty of mooring buoys, though in peak season you should book ahead. I anchored just outside the buoy field in about 5 meters. Dinghy landing’s easy at the main quay. The town’s small but handy: basic shops, a bakery, and a couple restaurants.
