A sheltered cove on Mallorca’s eastern coast and a charming anchorage. The bay has depths between 4 and 6 meters, with a sandy bottom that generally provides good holding. However, as it’s partially open to the east, conditions can become choppy with easterly winds, so checking forecasts is recommended before anchoring​. The beach, though small, has a laid-back vibe and is surrounded by striking cliffs and pine trees that add to the secluded feel. There are also a few facilities nearby, including a beach bar for refreshments and a couple of small shops in the vicinity. During peak season, Cala Mendia can be quite popular, so early arrival is suggested if you prefer a bit of space. For any larger resupplies or services, Porto Cristo is a short distance away and has more comprehensive amenities.
