Cala Virgili is a small Mallorca cove with sand, rock and seagrass, so it takes a bit of patience to find a clean patch where the anchor will bite. The setting is quiet and the shoreline is mostly rock, so dinghy landings can be fiddly. Read more
It sits near the Llevant peninsula trails, which are good for a walk to viewpoints and coastal watchtowers. Cala Agulla and Cala Mesquida are close for a change of beach, and Capdepera’s castle adds an easy cultural stop with views over the coast.

1 Review on “Cala Virgili”
Cala Virgili is a small, quiet anchorage known for its remote feel. The cove has shallow depths, around 3 to 5 meters, with a predominantly sandy bottom, which provides fair holding for smaller vessels. The surrounding rocky cliffs and crystal-clear water make Cala Virgili an excellent spot for snorkeling, where you can spot various fish and underwater rock formations. There are no services or amenities nearby, giving it an untouched, natural atmosphere that’s perfect for a peaceful day. The anchorage is a bit isolated, so bringing provisions is essential. For more supplies, the nearby towns on the island’s southern coast, such as Cala en Porter, offer grocery stores, restaurants, and other basics if you need a supply run.
