1 Review on “Las Palmas”
Anchoring at Las Palmas puts you right off one of the busiest ports in the Canaries. The holding is good in sand but surge can roll in when ferries or large vessels pass, and wind acceleration from the northeast is common. Swell is usually manageable and youโll get protection from the breakwater and consistent trade winds. Tie your dinghy inside the marina near the fuel dock. The cityโs all around you: chandlers, supermarkets, sailmakers, repair shops. Rolnautic and Nautica El Puerto are nearby for gear or spares. Water and fuel are inside the marina. A good stop if you’re waiting out weather or getting ready for a crossing. Just keep an eye on traffic and avoid anchoring too close to the channel.
