Puerto de Roquetas de Mar is a gem for a stopover! The marina offers a warm welcome from its staff, who go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. The nearby bike paths leading to the salinas and Aguadulce are perfect for a leisurely ride. Plus, the castle and the free local events, which you can find out about at the tourist office near the castle, were wonderful surprises. The marina’s location is fantastic, just a short stroll from a long, beautiful beach. While the local restaurants can be a bit pricey, the marina itself is a great value. It’s a fantastic spot for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
