I’ve dropped anchor near the base of the castle a few times, and each time, the view of the illuminated fortress at night has been absolutely breathtaking. Anchoring in about 12 meters of water, I’ve found the holding to be reliable. The location is perfect for easy access to Bodrum town; you can hop into your dinghy and be at the bustling heart of the city in no time. The area around the castle offers a bit of everything for shopping & dining. However, be prepared for some nighttime noise from nearby bars and ferries—it’s part of the lively atmosphere of Bodrum.
