Anchoring here can be a bit of a mixed bag. Many boats anchor in the bay, so it’s crucial to follow local guidance to avoid fines from the coast guard. The holding is generally good in the muddy bottom, but you’ll want to set your anchor well and check it often. The bay offers decent protection and is quite close to the charming town of Fethiye, where you can explore local markets and enjoy good dining options. The water isn’t the cleanest, and we’ve heard of thefts.. The area around the marina can be a bit crowded.
