Hello, I’m going to Guadeloupe in late June to early July Not on a sailboat, but at the Club Med in Sainte-Anne According to Mr. Weather, the weather isn’t great at the moment Based on your experience, as those who live there, can I expect beautiful sunshine and blue skies? Thank you

Not great, probably due to cloud cover. Otherwise, the temperature is 27 to 30°C. But in any case, bad weather in the Antilles is nothing like what happens in mainland Europe!…
I think the probability of sunshine is very high. Completely blue skies are rare. There, small or large clouds frequently pass by with regular showers except during the so-called dry periods: February/March.
This year it rained during the dry period and the trade winds were quite strong. Summer is normally the rainy season. I spend the winter there and have also been there in summer without noticing any significant difference…

You have to put bad weather into perspective. 27 degrees in the air and water, even during a light shower, is great. What might happen is a tropical wave, so a bit of wind. In July, it’s a humid tropical heat with reduced trade winds, so sometimes a bit heavy, but…..I love summer in the Caribbean, and winter too, but professionally, winter is shorter.
