Les Saintes, two sister islands in Guadeloupe

Les Saintes, one of the Caribbean’s hidden gem, forms part of the Guadeloupe island group. Known for its rich history, these islands offer a traditional French-Caribbean charm. Terre-de-Haut is the most visited and developed island in Les Saintes. Renowned for its quaint villages, the island boasts the stunning Pain de Sucre Beach and the historical Fort NapolĂ©on. Its harbour, Anse du bourg, is considered one of the world’s most beautiful bays. Less developed than its sister island, Terre-de-Bas (more of a westward direction actually) offers a more authentic and tranquil Caribbean experience, characterised by lush green landscapes, quiet beaches, and a small, welcoming community that maintains traditional fishing and farming practices.
