The Turkish coast of the Black Sea
Stretching along Turkey’s northern border, this region offers a world that feels wonderfully different from the rest of the country—its cool climate and emerald landscapes create a charm all their own. The backcountry is a patchwork of dense forests, terraced tea plantations, and alpine meadows. You might sometimes hear the lively tunes of the kemençe, a small three-stringed fiddle, resonating through the hills.
